Helen Jane Morgan, age 87 of Salem, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, in her residence. Born November 15, 1937, in Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Hazel Ione (True) Altemeyer.

Jewell Gholson, age 83 of Salem, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 in her home. Mrs. Gholson was born October 6, 1941 in Bimble, KY, the daughter of Andrew Morris and Ethel Smith Morris. She was a member of Westview Christian Church. Mrs. Gholson retired from the Washington County Treasurer Office.

Christine E. Voyles, age 76, of Salem, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 5, 2025 at her residence. Born October 3, 1948 in Vicco, Kentucky to the late Everett and Lillian (Carroll) Everage, she was a West Washington graduate and also attended Indiana University Southeast in the early 80s, where she pursued a double major in English and Biology.

Larry Joe Wesner, 87, of Salem, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Larry was born July 18, 1938, in Salem, Indiana to the late Claude and Geraldine (Reynolds) Wesner, respectively.

Campbell Maness, age 83, of Salem, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at his residence. Born May 18, 1942 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, he was the son of Creed Maness and Olga Mae (Coomer) Maness. On May 3, 1963, he married Virginia Sue (McClure) Maness who survives.

Mary Louise Durbin, age 61, of Salem, passed away Saturday, August 9 at Baptist Health Floyd. Mary was born November 29, 1963, in New Albany, the daughter of Murphy and Sharon Schwinger Booker. She was a retired employee of the Washington County Assessor's Office. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Christian Church.

Joellen Meahl, age 85 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital. Mrs. Meahl was born April 28, 1940. The daughter of Ellis H. and Josie May Graves Churchman.

Mrs. Shelby Jean Huckleberry Terkhorn, age 87, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, August 5 at Norton Hospice Inpatient Unit in Louisville. Mrs. Terkhorn was born December 8, 1937, in Greensburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Russell Miller and Golda Milby Miller Wolfe.

Mr. Robert E. Walls Sr., age 68, of Salem, passed away Monday, August 4 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Mr. Walls was born March 14, 1957, in Indianapolis, the son of Lawrence "Doc" Stroud and Mary Maxine Rickenbaugh Lawrence Stroud. He was a retired truck driver. He was an Army veteran, a member of Double Y Saddle Club and Enon Baptist Church.

Carol Lee Johnson, 80, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at her residence. Born January 21, 1945, in New Albany, she was the daughter of Victor Bledsoe and Alberta (Shields) Bledsoe Napier. She married Charles Johnson on July 1, 2007 and he survives.

Betty Sue Burns, age 80, of Salem, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at her residence. Born March 8, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Wisecarver.
