Johnnie Saylor, age 77 of Salem, Indiana passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 5:50 am, in his residence. Born December 18, 1947 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Lee Saylor and Nadine (Bowling) Saylor. He then joined the U.S. Army after High School. He attended New Salem First Church of God. He loved tinkering with his trucks in his spare time.

Hope Christina Newsome, age 49, of Salem, passed away Friday, June 19 at Baptist Health Floyd. Hope was born March 19, 1976 in Seymour, the daughter of Charlie Weddel and Doris Newby. She was a 1995 graduate of West Washington High School.

Timothy Christopher Catlett, 58, passed away after a brief battle with cancer at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was born on May 18, 1967 to Shannon Catlett and Judy Catlett Hall in New Albany. He attended West Washington School Corporation until middle school and was a 1985 graduate of Salem High School.

Keith Burger, age 71 of Paoli, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Paoli Health and Living. Mr. Burger was born April 24, 1954 in New York, the son of Allen Burger. He is survived by his son, Lester Burger, four brothers and three sisters.

Dannie Smith Jr., age 57 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his home. Mr. Smith was born August 22, 1967 in New Albany, Indiana the son of Dannie Smith Sr. and Sam and Betty Weisbach Jeffers. He is an Army and Air Force veteran, and served in Desert Storm.

Jennifer Ellen McKinley, age 53 of Pekin, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Baptist Health Floyd. Mrs. McKinley was born March 28, 1972, in Hartford City, the daughter of Dale Adney and Ellen Clidinst Adney. She was a member of Northside Christian Church. Jennifer was a homemaker.

Bonnie J. Martin, age 94, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mrs. Martin was born November 14, 1930 in Orange County, Indiana, the daughter of Chester A. and Agnes Thrall Goen.

Roena Lynn Tegarden, age 57, of Pekin passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her residence. Born July 16, 1967 in New Albany, Indiana, she was the daughter of Roy Lemarr and Soundra Kay Gibson Lemarr.

Susan Gertrude Penix, age 56 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Mrs. Penix was born February 24, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, the daughter of Edward Pittman and Kimberly O’Neal.

Theodore Ralph “Ted” Linton, 80, of English, Indiana passed away peacefully Friday May 30, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana, surrounded by several members of his family.

Andrea "Angie" Johnson, age 72, of Campbellsburg passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born November 16, 1952 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late David Harris and Margie (Wilson) Mesarosh.

Sally and Stanley Maudlin, age 88 and 89 of Campbellsburg, passed away in their home. Sally Maudlin passed away on June 10, 2025, holding hands with her husband Stanley, who followed 16 hours later, on June 11, 2025.
