Billie Mae Satterwhite, age 83 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mrs. Satterwhite was born February 6, 1943 in Salem, the daughter of Alva and Meredith Harper Bartle. She attended bible study at Turning Point Church. She was a retired hair dresser at Bartles Beauty Salon and later was an instructor.

Mrs. Satterwhite is survived by her son, Bart Dixon (Glenda) of Salem, her sister, Sarah Batalis of South Carolina, a brother in law, Joe Holder of Greenwood, Indiana, son in law, Mike Marcum, her grandchildren: Ryan Steepleton (Chelsea) of Salem and Matthew Marcum (Hannah) of South Carolina and 11 great grandchildren: Trey, Emma, Brodee, Brayden, Harley, Andee, Joe, Gavin, Rosanna, Abel and Stanley.

Mrs. Satterwhite is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lee Ann Marcum, and her sister, Susie Holder and her grandson, Joseph Steepleton.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 11A.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, from 3P.M-6P.M and Thursday morning from 9A.M until the time of service. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
