Charles ‘Chuck’ Allen Maxey, age 64 of Salem, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Born January 22, 1962 in Cannelton, Indiana. He was the son of the late Charles William Maxey and Patricia Joan (Maxey) Fetz, who survives.

Chuck graduated from North Harrison High School Class of 1980. He was a former employee of Smith Cabinet and the late Fred Fleenor Construction. He had been a lifelong resident of Washington County. He had a deep love and passion for riding motorcycles.

Survivors include: Mother: Patricia Joan Fetz; Daughter: Tia (Rob) Batchlor of Salem, Indiana; Daughter: Tara (Eric) Mills of Salem, Indiana; Brother: Kevin (Missy) Maxey of Fredericksburg, Indiana; Sister: Cheryl Ann Maxey of Livonia, Indiana. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren. Granddaughter: Stevie Jo Mills of Salem, Indiana; Granddaughter: Charlea Batchelor of Salem, Indiana. Several Great-nieces and nephews.

He was peoceded in death by his father Charles W. Maxey and his Step-Father Jess ‘David’ Fetz..

Visitation will be held on Saturday 5/9/26 from 2 to 6 PM at Dawalt Funeral Home.
