Craft Show to Hit Salem October 10

Washington County residents looking for an exciting craft show experience need look no further than October 10. The inaugural Salem Fall Craft Market is set for 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 10, at Southern Hills Church, 1645 S SR-135. Admission is free; parking is free. The entire market is indoors and billed as family-friendly.

Booths are set to include handmade crafters and artisans, boutiques, food, and local organizations and businesses from Southern Indiana and the Greater Louisville area. Shoppers can expect handmade goods, boutique finds, home decor, specialty foods, seasonal products, and gifts.

“Join us for the Salem Fall Craft Market, a family-friendly indoor shopping event featuring handmade goods, artisan creations, boutique finds, home décor, specialty foods, seasonal products, and unique gifts from talented local vendors,” the event page states. “With autumn in full swing, shoppers can browse a variety of handcrafted products, seasonal décor, specialty foods, and unique gifts while enjoying a welcoming community atmosphere.”

No ticket is required, but organizers are asking people who want a reminder to register on Eventbrite. Vendor information and other details are posted at showmycrafts.net/salem-fall-craft-market.

Show My Crafts was started in 2020 by vendors who decided to organize their own markets after a year of canceled shows. Founder and event director Danielle also owns Agape Flower Preservation. Co-founder Jeremy, who handles operations, owns Merican Made, a custom woodworking and design business. The company now runs craft markets and vendor events across Southern Indiana and the Louisville area, with a stated aim of connecting local makers to shoppers.

The Salem date is the first fall market the group has scheduled in town. However, a Salem Christmas Craft Market is already on the horizon, set for 9:00 am to 2:00 pm November 14.

Be sure to make your way to Southern Hills Church on Saturday, October 10 for the first “Show My Crafts” event in Salem!
