Creekside Art Space celebrates 5th year with paint party Sept. 12

Washington County’s local Art Studio, Creekside Art Space, will celebrate five years of operation this fall and will mark the anniversary with a paint party on September 12.

The class will be led by Stacey Perry, assisted by Creekside proprietor Jane Spencer-Pierce. Perry is a graduate of Spencer-Pierce’s highly regarded Art Department at Salem High School, and has shared her tips and tricks at a number of local Paint Parties.

Participants will leave the three-hour session with a completed, full-color Fall Landscape.

The event is a first for the Creekside studio, and Spencer-Pierce is enthused about working side

by side with one of her former students.

She remarks that “Stacey is a real master at this kind of thing and has a way of putting people at

ease. And her chosen subjects are easy to do yet artistically satisfying. I know people will enjoy

working with her.”

Beginners and “non-artists” will find themselves right at home at the event; no previous art

experience is required. All materials and refreshments are covered by the $40 workshop fee.

The event runs from 2-5 pm on Saturday, September 12 at the Creekside studio just north of

Salem. Seating is limited, so participants should reserve their spots now at

Spencer-Pierce adds that there is room in her regular Monday and Thursday evening classes, and

that discounts and specials are posted on their website. Classes are open to Beginners-Advanced

students, ages 13-adult, and since all instruction is individualized, students may start anytime.
