Desiree Lane Freiberger, 26, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Vallonia, Indiana. She was born in Columbus, Indiana on March 25, 2000.
Desiree attended Floyd Central High School, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. She enjoyed her time working as a secretary in the healthcare industry and retail, singing, creating digital content, hiking and fishing with her children, and attending services at Graceland Church Salem.
Desiree was currently working towards her cosmetologist license while attending PJ’s College of Cosmetology, in Clarksville, Indiana. She was a proud and loving mother, daughter, and sister and will be sorely missed.
Preceding Desiree in death are her grandparents, Eugene A. Freiberger, Doris J. Freiberger, Charles Edward “Ed” Wells, Mary E. Wells; cousins, Marilyn Thacker and Derrick Thacker; aunt and uncle, Willma Thacker and Gary Thacker.
The family members left to celebrate her life and cherish many memories are her children, Bradley Freiberger, Raelynn Higdon, and Colten Freiberger; her parents, Lane and Linda Freiberger; siblings, Lorne Freiberger and Jazmaine Phillips (Gavin); and nephew, Jaxton Phillips
Services for Desiree will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Wesley Chapel UMC, 2100 US-150, Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral ceremony at 4:00 pm.
