Lisa’s Little Dream Farm Sanctuary in Hardinsburg is gathering supplies to help elderly and disabled residents care for their animals this season. Donation boxes labeled “Donate to Animals in Need” have been placed at several locations in Washington and Orange counties.
According to organizer Lisa Young, boxes are available at Tractor Supply in Paoli, Merica Flea Market, Titan Tint & Graphics, The Salem Apothecary, Lisa’s Farmhouse Market, Huckster's Hall, and Campbellsburg Hardware.
The sanctuary is collecting animal food and supply donations now through Wednesday, November 26.
Young said the effort is aimed first at helping elderly and disabled pet owners, with hopes of assisting others if enough donations come in. Anyone elderly needing help can contact her by private message on Facebook or by text at 803-669-9175.
“We really hope we can help a lot of people and animals,” she said.
