“Food Trucks On The Bricks” is back once again for a third rendition after a successful reappearance this past July! Friday, September 4 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Market Street will once again be bustling and alive with food trucks offering something for everyone.
The “On The Bricks” series is a collection of various events held on Market Street. Organized by Mayor Justin Green and his staff, the goal is to provide consistent community events in order to help squash the notion that “there is nothing to do in Salem, Indiana.”
Recent iterations of this event featured food trucks such as:
The Thirsty Hippie
Mama B’s Kitchen
Busy B’z
Double Dipped
Taqueria Hernandez
Heavenly Hot Dogs
And more!
The lineup for this year has not been released, but it is safe to say there will be a similar variety this year compared to previous years. It is said that there will also be family games, activities, and music.
Following last year’s event, Mayor Justin Green said, “The turnout has been very consistent. This has been our base-year. Everything we’re doing on the bricks is a new idea and concept. The food trucks are a perfect fit for this time of year. It’s not too hot, and everybody can sit out and enjoy it… My thought for next year is that the events that worked will be permanent.”
It seems they indeed are becoming permanent, seeing as this is the third time Market Street will be populated with food trucks. Be sure to join the rest of the community on the bricks on September 4 for some great eats!
