Georgia Brickey

Georgia Brickey, age 86 of Salem, passed away on July 13, 2026 at the Bee Hive in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Mrs. Brickey was born June 29, 1940 in Hope, Kentucky, the daughter of John S. and Mina Mills Dunn. Georgia was a dedicated homemaker. She took great care of her husband and two sons. Later on she would sit with the elderly and provide a caring and safe atmosphere.

Georgia is survived by her two sons: Scott (Valerie) Brickey and Bryan (Karen) Brickey, both of Salem and a brother, Jim Dunn also of Salem, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Georgia is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick (who was a long time barber in Salem) her in laws, Alva and Pearl Brickey, her parents, four brothers, one step brother, two sisters and two step sisters.

We would like to thank Emma's Place, the Bee Hive and Amedisys Hospice for their care provided to Georgia and our families in the time of need.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brickey will be held on Friday, at 11:00A.M. at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00P.M-8:00P.M and Friday morning from 9:00A.M until the time of service.
