Gerald Ashabraner, 78, of Paoli, passed away at his home on October 5, 2026.

He was born on November 5, 1947, in Salem, IN, the son of Marvin Ashabraner and Carolyn (VanCleave) Ashabraner.

He was a member of the VFW in Paoli and was an avid NASCAR fan. Gerald enjoyed going to the Salem Speedway.

Gerald is survived by four children, Marianne Edwards (Doug) of Solsberry, Amy Lee Childers (Jim) of Solsberry, Jeremy Ashabraner (Teresa) of Mitchell and Stacy Morgan of Pekin; one sister, Julie Clark of Salem; nine grandchildren, Kelsey, Austin, Dylan, Casey, Alex, Jacob, Dakota, Shalyn and Justice; twelve great grandchildren, Carlie, Zoey, Georgia, Khloe, Carson, Emma, Emmitt, Emmerson, Ariana, Macon, Liam and Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Marvin Ashabraner and two sisters, Gina Beasley and Patty Monroe.

A memorial visitation will be at the VFW in Paoli at 1:00 PM on October the 17, 2026.
