Glen "Fudd" Merry

Glen E. Merry, known by all as Fudd, passed away Saturday evening, July 18th, at his home with his daughter by his side.
Born January 4th, 1947, he was a husband, father, brother, loyal friend, and helpful hand to many, living his entire life in Campbellsburg, Indiana. A man of constant motion, he worked numerous vocations in his life spanning the Rider Canning Factory, Smith Cabinet Factory, Campbellsburg Bob Shell Gas Station, farm hand for Dr. Kermit Tower, grain and furniture truck driver, farm hand and truck driver for Fredrick Ingram, automotive repair shop proprietor, Reynold’s Supply crewman, and the Washington County Highway Department from which he retired in 2016. Unable to slow down in retirement he stayed busy part time as a farm hand for the 4R Cattle Company until a few years ago. In his younger years he was a volunteer firefighter with the Campbellsburg Fire Department and volunteer Campbellsburg Deputy Marshall. He was a member of the Saltillo Christian Church. An avid shooter, he was a member of the Campbellsburg Conservation Club, and Coffee Creek, Spencer, and Odin Gun Clubs.
He is proceeded in death by wife Betty R. Merry, Mother Helen Merry, Father Charles Merry, sister Penny Daulton, half-brother Jim Pennington, and twin brother Charles “Chopper” Merry Jr.
He is survived by his daughter Michele Swartz and sisters Leta Back, Glenda Huffman, and Linda Wilkerson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26th, 2:00pm, at the Campbellsburg Community Building on 21 W. Oak Street, Campbellsburg, Indiana.
