The Hardinsburg Community Foundation, in partnership with the Town of Hardinsburg, Indiana, invites neighbors, visitors, and families from across the region to a historic community celebration. The event will honor the nation’s upcoming 250th Semiquincentennial Anniversary and feature an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the town’s recent reincorporation, led by a state official.
The festivities kick off at noon with a car, tractor, and first responder vehicle show, Nerf Wars, a vendor showcase, and local food trucks.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. The American Legion Color Guard will present the colors, followed by a keynote presentation by a state official to commemorate Hardinsburg’s reincorporation.
At 5:00 p.m., the celebration moves to the Community Center for a traditional BBQ Chicken Dinner. For just $8, attendees can enjoy barbecued chicken leg quarters, baked beans, and potato salad prepared by Rooster’s Hen House, followed by dessert from Brother B’s Ice Cream. The evening will feature a special live musical performance by Steve and Nancy Dickey, playing country and bluegrass favorites.
"We are incredibly proud to bring our community together to celebrate this historic milestone," said Sue O'Neill, HCF Vice President. "This weekend is about honoring our heritage, looking forward to Hardinsburg's bright future, and enjoying some great food and fellowship with our neighbors."
