On the evening of June 22, 2025, shortly after 11:00 pm, Officer Dylan England of the Salem Police Department observed a red motorcycle traveling eastbound on State Road 60 East. The motorcycle was operating without proper lighting equipment, and no visible license plate could be seen.
According to authorities, Officer England attempted to initiate a traffic stop using emergency lights and sirens, to which the motorcyclist failed to comply. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Peak was booked in with the following crimes:
Reckless driving – Class C Misdemeanor
Resisting law enforcement – Level 6 Felony
All subjects are presumed innocent until, and only when, proven guilty in a court of law.
