Jeffrey Allen Spaulding

Jeffrey Allen Spaulding age 70 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Monday June 1, 2026, in Norton Audubon Hospital Louisville.


Born December 2, 1955, in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late John Roger Spaulding and Nancy Elizabeth (Anderson) Spaulding.


He was an employee of LG&E in Louisville, Kentucky for 34 years, last serving as a senior analyst. He was a 1974 graduate of Salem High School, elected as class vice-president his senior year. He graduated from Indiana University in 1981.


Jeff loved to read and travel, having recently returned from a trip to Portugal and Spain and a kayaking trip to Cabo San Lucas. He loved his cats and recently lost his favorite, Kong. He enjoyed spending time at his farm in Little York, where you could find him riding his side by side or tractor. He took great pride in restoring his grandmother’s farmhouse. Jeff was an avid golfer, and he looked forward to his near weekly golf games and lunches with his co-worker Rob O’Brien. He loved riding his motorcycle and in his younger days he enjoyed playing tennis. He enjoyed tailgating at University of Louisville football games with his friend of over 40 years Richard Kopp. He will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend Von Garriott.


Survivors include 3 brothers: John R. Spaulding Jr. (Gayle) of Madison, IN. Stephen E. Spaulding (companion Sarah Shew) of Scottsburg, IN and Robert D. Spaulding (Nazira) of Milton, Florida and 1 sister Leah A. Bradley (John) of Pine Hurst, North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father John R. Spaulding and his sister Karen and her husband Mike Gonzalez.


A Celebration of His Life will take place Saturday July 11, 2026, at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem, Indiana from 10 am until 12 noon.
