Joellen Meahl

Joellen Meahl, age 85 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Mrs. Meahl was born April 28, 1940. The daughter of Ellis H. and Josie May Graves Churchman. She was a member of the High Street Church of Christ, where she was the treasurer. She was also the treasurer for Noah's Ark. Joellen loved maintaining her flowers. As a little girl she was a toe dancer and a roller skater, where she met her husband George.

Mrs. Meahl is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Meahl is preceded in death by her husband, George. They were married on September 1, 1967. George passed away on February 8, 2022. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Robert Churchman, Tommy Churchman and Gene Churchman.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00a.m at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00-8:00p.m and Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
