Klarene Marie Cartee, age 80 of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.
Born January 17, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Ruth B. (Hetler) Kahler.
She was a retired employee of American Cold Storage and Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg; from the time they opened for 15 years.
She loved and was very proud of her grandchildren. Also had a great love for all animals and mowing her yard.
Survivors include Daughter; Rebecca (James) Stewart of Salem; Brother: Karl Kahler of Hudson, Illinois. 3 grandchildren: Haley (Jake) Arbogast, Kieanna Logsdon and Emma Stewart, all of Salem, a great granddaughter, Lydia Arbogast and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Karin Kahler of East Moline, Illinois.
Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Arrangements by Dawalt Funeral Home.
