Larry James Byrd

Larry James Byrd, age 74 of Salem, IN passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 in the comfort of his own home.

Larry was born March 19, 1952 in Louisville, KY and was the son of the late Wymon Byrd and Frances Byrd.

On June 26, 1973 he married the love of his life, Martha Louise (Cobbs) Byrd who survives him. They had a long and loving marriage of over 52 years.

Larry was a dedicated provider for his family, working both for American Standard and then for Mr. P until he retired over 10 years ago.

Additional survivors include his sons, David Byrd (Shannon) of LaGrange, KY and Ryan Byrd of Salem, IN.

The family has chosen cremation with a private burial.
