Lola "Kathy" Mattingly

Lola "Kathy" Mattingly, age 86 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Mrs. Mattingly was born July 7, 1939 the daughter of Charles Witt and Agnes Witt Taylor and her step father, Adrian Taylor. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Mitchell. She loved to dance, and was an avid Wildcat Basketball fan. She was a lifelong waitress at Skyline, which was her sister Jewel's business.

Mrs. Mattingly is survived by her daughter, Sherry Elliott, her son, Kenneth Elliott Jr., five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mattingly is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Pete" Mattingly, her parents, and her sisters, Jewell Cress and Norma White.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 2:00P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 10:00A.M. until the time of service, with burial immediately following the service at Livonia Cemetery.
