No Injuries in Campbellsburg Fire

At approximately 9:36 on Sunday evening, the Brown/Vernon Fire Department and Washington County EMS were called to the area of 68 Sycamore Street behind Jimmy's Bar in Campbellsburg, regarding a structure fire inside a vacant house.

Within an hour, volunteers of the Brown/Vernon Fire Department had the fire extinguished. The house, located at 26 S Jefferson St just off Sycamore, was unoccupied and there were no injuries reported. "I don't think anyone has lived there for a while," said firefighter Mark Gorman.

Gorman stated that the fire was mostly contained in the northeast corner of the house. At the time of questioning, the cause of the fire had not been determined.
