Nyoka Brough

Nyoka F. Brough, age 69 of Salem, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.

Ms. Brough was born November 24, 1956 in Flemming Neon, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Woodrow Quillen and Delphia Mae Barnes Newsome Quillen. She was a member of Rivers of Living Waters Ministries. Nyoka loved taking trips and spending time with animals, especially her cats and dogs.

Ms. Brough is survived by her daughters, Stacy Holwager (Shane) of Salem, Sondra Huffines (Thomas) of Pekin and Shannon Johnson (Jerry) of Jeffersonville. Her Brother Harvey Mead of French Lick, her sister Betty Collier of Salem, her grandchildren, Samuel Wilson (Natalie), Laura Isley (Josh), Heaven Petro (Danzic), Matthew Wilson, Angel Williams (Lavar), Bradley Huffines Christian Huffines, Levi Mull, Aaron Mull, 6 Great-Grand Children and Long Time Best Friend Lisa Kindrick of Salem.

Ms. Brough is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman E. Brough, Her brothers, Carlos Newsome, Henry Newsome, Bernard Newsome and Grandson in-law, Dakota Isley.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 25 at 12:00P.M at Rivers of Living Waters Ministries with Reverend Dennis Collins officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 10:00A.M until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Hickory Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
