John Joseph Hattabaugh, age 40 of Campbellsburg, Indiana passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 at 6:52 pm, in Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis, Indianapolis, Indiana. Born November 11, 1984 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late John Stephen Hattabaugh and Terrie Kinzi.

He graduated from Salem High School in 2003 and then joined the United States Army. On May 4, 2006, he married Jessica (Middleton) Hattabaugh. He was a very outdoorsy guy, he enjoyed caving at Cave River Valley, playing guitar, and putting car models together. He invested a lot of time in his family, he was a great husband, stepfather, and grandfather.

Survivors include: Wife: Jessica (Middleton) Hattabaugh, Stepdaughter: Cheyeana Earl of Columbus, Indiana; Stepdaughter: Jasmine White of Campbellsburg, Indiana; Sister: Laura Kinzi of Salem, Indiana; Sister: Alisha Pollard of Corydon, Indiana; Mother: Terrie Hattabaugh; Like a Brother: Ron Smith of Campbellsburg, Indiana; Grandmother: Eva Jo Kinzi; Uncle: Hugh (Kay) Hattabaugh of Florida. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
