Obituary: Susan Gertrude Penix

Susan Gertrude Penix, age 56 of Salem, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital.

Mrs. Penix was born February 24, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, the daughter of Edward Pittman and Kimberly O’Neal.

Mrs. Penix is survived by her husband, Watts Penix, who she married on June 7, 1988. She is also survived by her mother, Kimberly Jordan, her two sons: Watts Penix Jr. (Stephanie Goerres) of Salem and Dakota Penix (Rebecca) of Salem, her daughters, Tori Penix (Justin Jamison) of New Albany, and Sara Penix of Salem, two brothers: Edward Pittman of Pekin and David Pittman of Liberty, Kentucky, five sisters: Fran Tryon of Indianapolis, Martha Griffith of Science Hill, Kentucky, Ruth Bryant of Liberty, Kentucky, Kim Pittman of Salem, Missy Martin of Borden and two grandchildren.

Susan is preceded in death by her father, her daughter Farrah Penix, her brother, Junior Pittman, Ray Passmore and her sister, Janet Bennett.

Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 2:00p.m at Weathers Funeral Home with visitation held from 10:00a.m until the time of service, burial will take place following the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
