A Pekin, Indiana man was arrested Monday, April 28, 2025, following a multi-state investigation into child pornography initiated by online reports.

The investigation began earlier this year after the Bay County Sheriff’s Department in Florida received cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Those tips were forwarded to the Indiana State Police (ISP) Sellersburg Post, where detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force began looking into the case.
Investigators identified 48-year-old Jerame Jan Hall of Pekin as a suspect. Acting on the information gathered, Indiana State Police executed a search warrant at Hall’s home. Hall was arrested without incident and taken to the Washington County Jail. He currently faces two preliminary charges of possessing child pornography, though further charges may be filed as the case progresses.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force, coordinated by the Indiana State Police, brings together multiple law enforcement agencies to combat the online exploitation of children.
Officials encourage anyone who suspects child exploitation, solicitation, or enticement involving the internet to report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Reports can be submitted through the NCMEC website, which is linked on the Indiana ICAC Task Force page: https://www.in.gov/isp/icactf/. Victims and concerned citizens can also contact their local police departments directly.
Authorities stress that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
