Roosevelt Nicholson

Mr. Roosevelt Nicholson, age 93, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 18 at Northwood Retirement Home.

Mr. Nicholson was born December 1, 1932, in Clay County, Kentucky, the son of Christopher Pitman Nicholson and Nellie Stivers Nicholson. He was retired from Tecumseh and was a farmer. He was an Army veteran.

Roosevelt is survived by two sons: Christopher Nicholson (Jennifer) of Salem and Keith Nicholson (Kimberly) of Beaufort, South Carolina, 6 grandchildren: Hannah Black, Jaime Nicholson, Sarah Abraham, Steven Tye, Emily Schneider, and Cole Nicholson, and ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Debra Nicholson, two brothers: Carlton Nicholson and Barkley Nicholson, two sisters: Roba Boling and Alpha Miller and a grandson: Justin Nicholson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10AM-time of service.
