On May 2, 2025, Salem emergency responders received a call at 2:58 PM in regard to a single-vehicle wreck on North Main Street, just north of Ernstberger Orthodontics.

Upon arrival, a Dodge 5500 service truck belonging to Washington County Tire Shop was visible in the ditch on the west side of the street. I spoke to members of the Salem Fire Department regarding the details.

“There was one male subject in the vehicle. He signed a refusal of treatment by EMS saying he was uninjured. He said he got too close to the edge of the road, and it sucked him into the ditch. It totally destroyed the truck.”

Thanks to the Salem Fire Department, Salem Police Department, and Wilcox Towing & Trucking, Inc, the scene was cleaned quickly and traffic resumed as normal.
