On Tuesday, June 24 at 1:47 pm, Washington County emergency responders received a call regarding a Jeep Cherokee that had run off the road and rolled over on US-150 between Palmyra and Fredericksburg.
Upon arrival, the Cherokee could be seen overturned on the south side of the road, with debris scattered alongside the vehicle.

“The driver stated that he was trying to overtake a car,” said Deputy Brad Naugle of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. “He was traveling west, and it looks like he ran off the edge of the south side of the road here and lost control, spun around backwards, and hit the bank and rolled.”
The driver, 19 year-old Riley Tate Highbaugh, was flown to UofL for “precautions” due to the intense nature of the wreck. The specifics of his injuries have yet to be released.
Thanks to the Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department, Washington County EMS, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Air Methods Kentucky 7 and Wilcox Towing & Trucking, Inc., the scene was cleared quickly, and traffic on 150 returned to normal.
