The Washington County Pride Picnic returns for its 6th annual celebration on Sunday, June 14, from 1–8 p.m.
This free community event will feature food, music, games, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with friends old and new in a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, allies, and supporters.
The picnic is centrally located in Salem, with the exact location shared upon RSVP.

I'm so sorry I missed it again. This year I thought I'd have things together enough to go, but I guess, no. But it's still June and there should be more opportunities to go have fun and get a sunburn for a great purpose :)
Fantastic!!!! I've been to all the first five of them. Nice summer picnics. People eating food. Like all picnics. Some people are LGBTQIA+, like every other picnic. And one doesn't know which ones are gay, like every other picnic (unless someone chooses to say). But it's where those who are, know they could come out if they want to, that they are surrounded by people who welcome them.
I think people misunderstand the reason for the term, "Pride". It's really about the opposite of shame. People who have been taught to be ashamed of who they are. A month, a picnic, for them not to be ashamed to be who they are.
Maybe the rest of us have never experienced…
