Thomas Wayne Cole, age 86 of Orleans, Indiana, passed away on August 11, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.

Mr. Cole was born March 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Eli and Lillian Wheat Cole. He was born in Cole Hollow.

Surviving Thomas is his wife, Jean Thomas, their two sons, Tim Cole (Dana) of Campbellsburg, Indiana, Michael Cole (Linda) of Salem, his step daughter, Susan Lawyer (Jim) of Hardinsburg, his sister, Linda Dotson (David) of Campbellsburg and his brother Ray Cole (Debbie) of Salem. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Monica Cole of Campbellsburg, Michael Shane Cole of Salem, Sarah Cole of Kentucky, Byron Collins (Christan) of Orleans, Amy Allen (Kip) of Orleans, Shyanne Gastelum (Zac) of Orleans, and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Raydon, Lydia, Addison, Cambree, Mylee, Waylon, Huxley, Shylyn, Brooklyn, Raelyn, Clayton, Griffin, Laynee and Burton.

Mr. Cole is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, his step daughter, Sheri Bagett Harris, and his brothers, Leo, Marvin, Bill, Norman, Evelyn, Eli Junior, Larry, David, Jimmy and Sharon.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 17, 2026 at Weathers Funeral Home from 3:00-7:00P.M. Cremation was chosen and there will be no burial.
