Vera Lou Kirtley Lockard

Vera Lou Kirtley Lockard, age 71, of Salem, passed away Saturday, November 15 at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.

Vera was born November 24, 1953 in Salem the daughter of George Kirtley and Wilma Goss Kirtley. She was a longtime employee of Banner Publications. She was a member of Turning Point Church in Scottsburg.

Vera is survived by her children: Brad Philpott (Kristy Sanders) of Salem, Tracey Philpott of Salem, Brandon Lockard (Rachel) of Pekin, and Jesse Lockard (Melanie) of Campbellsburg, a brother: Morgan Kirtley of Paoli, two sisters: Irene Blair of Columbus and Phyllis Metz of Salem, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Donnie Kirtley and a sister: Carolyn Kirtley.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21 at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home with Deanna Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Martinsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9AM-time of service.
