A new initiative from the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is aiming to lift local nonprofits to new heights. Established in 2023, the Rise Up Program is designed to ensure a strong, sustainable nonprofit sector across Washington County.
Backed by the generosity of WCCF donors, the Rise Up Program offers nonprofits access to vital services such as Board Development, Grant Research and Writing, and Marketing and Communications support. The goal? To meet organizations where they are and help them “rise up” to the next level of service and sustainability.
“Our goal is to work side by side with our local nonprofits on projects they have identified and prioritized,” WCCF Executive Director Judy Johnson said in an official statement. “We will do our best to meet them where they are at and help them 'Rise UP' to the next level, whatever that may look like. We are so grateful to our donors who have made it possible for us to venture into such a unique partnership.”
Through this program, nonprofits are encouraged to apply for services that will help strengthen their operations, improve outreach, and build long-term capacity. However, participation is limited based on a few key factors, including the completeness of the application, the scope and timeline of services requested, and staff availability.
How to Apply:
Nonprofit leaders interested in applying can complete the Rise Up Application online. While all requests will be reviewed, WCCF notes that not all can be fulfilled due to resource limitations.
For more information, nonprofits can call (812) 883-7334, email info@wccf.biz, or visit the WCCF Facebook page and website.
