Angel Dawn Walker, age 53 of Mitchell, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Mitchell Manor. She was born on January 29, 1973 in Salem, Indiana. She was the Daughter of Jim Mayfield and Carolyn (Walker) Mayfield.
She was a member of Salem First Christian Church. Angel was a graduate of Salem High School in 1993. She attended Indiana University Southeast, and worked for Blue River Services in Salem.
Angel dearly loved animals and enjoyed having many pets over the years. Her cat Lizzie of 16 years survives. Survivors include her Father Jim Mayfield of Jeffersonville, IN. and her Mother Carolyn (Walker) Mayfield of Salem.
She was preceded in death by two infant sisters Jamie Marie and Leslie Ann Mayfield. Grandparents Randall & Wanda Walker and Carl & Wilda Wells.
Visitation will be Thursday August 27th at 1:00 until the time of service.
Service will be on Thursday, August 27th at 2:00 PM with Rick Catlett officiating at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
