The Washington County Prosecutor’s Office, working jointly with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, has announced that criminal charges have been filed against Marcus Milan Miller following an investigation into allegations of long-term sexual abuse.
On July 2, 2025, authorities say that Miller appeared at the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and admitted to engaging in repeated inappropriate sexual contact with a victim beginning when the victim was twelve years old. The victim, now nineteen, later confirmed the abuse during an interview conducted on July 24, 2025. The reported incidents allegedly occurred over several years in multiple locations within Washington County.
“The nature of these allegations reflects a serious betrayal of trust,” Washington County Prosecutor Tara Coats Hunt stated. “Our office is committed to protecting victims and ensuring justice is pursued to the fullest extent of Indiana law.”
“This case highlights the importance of thorough investigative work and the courage of victims who come forward,” Sheriff Brent Miller added. “We will continue to stand with survivors and pursue accountability for offenders.”
Both agencies commended Detective Brad Naugle of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department for his professional and diligent investigation, saying that Detective Naugle’s work directly led to the filing of charges and represents the highest standards of law enforcement service to the community.
The case is now proceeding through the judicial process. No further details will be released at this time in order to protect the privacy of the victim.
