Cornucopia Farm launches into 2026 season

Cornucopia Farm will open its doors for the 2026 fall season Friday, September 11, welcoming guests back for another season of pumpkins, farm activities, fall attractions and special events!

General admission will be available from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on opening day, with the farm closing briefly before reopening for its first special event of the season: the Red, White and Blue Glow Maze.

The Red, White and Blue Glow Maze is one of several new attractions the Baird family is highlighting this year. Featuring special lights, rocking tunes and “glow gear” for the first 250 entrants, you don’t want to miss this fun opening night for the corn maze!

The glow maze will run from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with the final maze entrance at 9:00 pm. The maze will be followed by a fireworks display at 9:30 pm. Glow Maze tickets are $19 per person and include general admission prior.

General admission tickets are $13 per person when purchased online, or $14 at the door. Children ages two and under are admitted free. The farm’s cafe will also be open from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on opening day.

Cornucopia Farm's roots in Washington County date back to 1992, when Kevin and Linda Baird began growing pumpkins. For Linda, the venture was the fulfillment of a dream she had developed while in high school.

What began with the Bairds selling pumpkins from their front yard has grown into a full-fledged family destination, with their sons and daughters-in-law now involved in the operation. Today, the farm features a Pumpkin Shed with a cafe and fudge station, more than 100 varieties of pumpkins and other crops, a six-acre corn maze and a smaller soybean maze.

The farm's petting area features animals including pigs, calves, sheep and chickens, while a variety of other activities are offered throughout the season.

The Bairds said the farm welcomes thousands of guests each fall, including families and children visiting as part of school tours. For the family, however, the most rewarding part of operating Cornucopia Farm goes beyond the attractions themselves.

“Working with family and getting to see families and friends year after year” is what makes the business special, they said. “It’s always fun when customers come year after year and become dear friends!”

Other September events include an Adult Day on Sept. 15, Photographer Night on Sept. 18 and 22, Farm Yoga on Sept. 19, a flower workshop Sept. 22 and Petting Farm Weekend Sept. 25-27. The farm will also feature its Sunflowers & Zinnias during portions of the month.

The farm will also host a Touch a Tractor weekend Sept. 18-19, giving visitors an opportunity to get an up-close look at farm equipment including a combine, tractor and grain cart, tractor and planter, and other antique tractors. The event will also provide an opportunity to promote farm equipment safety and the importance of sharing the road with agricultural equipment during harvest season.

Cornucopia Farm's regular general admission hours are 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sundays. General admission tickets are $13 online or $14 at the door, with a $28 season pass also available.
