The Washington County Theatre will take audiences back to the fictional town of Fayro, Texas, this weekend with its production of Southern Hospitality, a fast-paced Southern comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and The Golden Girls writer/producer Jamie Wooten. Performances will be held at Gary W. Hartsook Hall, located behind the Salem Church of the Nazarene at 405 North Shelby Street.
Showtimes are set for Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, June 8, at 2:30 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain.

A sequel to the theatre’s 2023 production of Christmas Belles, Southern Hospitality reunites audiences with the eccentric and endearing Futrelle sisters as they face another round of small-town chaos. This time, the sisters are determined to save their beloved hometown from economic ruin by luring a salsa factory to Fayro—whether the town is ready or not.
Returning to reprise their roles from Christmas Belles are Rosie Morehous, Charity Main, Rebecca McKinley, Miranda Smith, Mariah Thacker, Rachel Casey-Dufour, Daniel Main, Ryland Sparkman, and Jacob Dufour. They are joined by Saylor James, Kayla Seybold, Angela Bowles, and John Hardaway, rounding out a cast of familiar favorites and fresh faces. Mary Anne Knapp directs.

Tickets are available at the door for $12 for adults and $10 for students. Children age four and under are admitted free.
