Cruise in for Fish Fundraiser to be Sept. 26

Community members and car enthusiasts will have an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of food, vehicles and fellowship while supporting the fight against cancer during the “Cruise In for Fish” fundraiser Saturday, September 26, at New Hope United Methodist Church (4957 W State Rd 60, Salem).

The event, organized by the New Hope UMC men's and women's group and Random Rydes of Salem, will run from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and is open to the public and all car and truck enthusiasts.

The fundraiser will feature a fish fry, homemade desserts and a cruise-in. Meals will be available for $8, fish sandwiches for $6, and various desserts will also be available. The event will be cash only, with both drive-thru and dine-in options available.

All proceeds will benefit Washington County's Relay For Life efforts in support of the American Cancer Society.

Relay For Life is a community-based fundraising movement of the American Cancer Society that brings together cancer survivors, caregivers, families and community members.

Events like these provide an opportunity to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those who have passed from it, and raise funds to support the fight against cancer.

The American Cancer Society works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer through areas including cancer research, advocacy, education and patient support.
