"Food Trucks On The Bricks" returns July 17, 6-8 pm

It is once again time for another “On The Bricks” event! This Friday night features the return of “Food Trucks On The Bricks.” From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on July 17, 2026, Market Street will be lined with food trucks of all different kinds for people to enjoy.

The “On The Bricks” series is a collection of various events held on Market Street. Organized by Mayor Justin Green and his staff, the goal is to provide consistent community events in order to help squash the notion that “there is nothing to do in Salem, Indiana.”

Last year’s debut of this event featured food trucks such as:

• The Thirsty Hippie

• Mama B’s Kitchen

• Busy B’z

• Double Dipped

• Taqueria Hernandez

• Heavenly Hot Dogs

The lineup for this year has not been released, but it is safe to say there will be a similar variety this year compared to last.

Following last year’s event, Mayor Justin Green said, “The turnout has been very consistent. This has been our base-year. Everything we’re doing on the bricks is a new idea and concept. The food trucks are a perfect fit for this time of year. It’s not too hot, and everybody can sit out and enjoy it… My thought for next year is that the events that worked will be permanent, and the ones that ended up being a little iffy, we might tweak a bit. But this seems to be an easy one. I wrestled with how many trucks I should invite. I guessed six, and that seems to be the magic number.”

Whether or not Mayor Green and his staff made any adjustments to this year’s “Food Trucks On The Bricks” remains to be seen. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to seeing you this Friday evening on Market Street… Bring your appetite!
