LM Sugarbush to host annual Maple Syrup Festival

It is once again time to break out the waffle maker because LM Sugarbush is hosting their annual Maple Syrup Festival later this month! The Maple Syrup Festival, located at 321 N Garrison Hollow Rd, is a very popular event in the Washington County area, and it is safe to say it has become one of the many staples in our community.

This year, the first weekend of the festival will take place on February 28 and March 1, and the second week will be March 7 and 8. The festival will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm both weekends, and there will be plenty of vendors and entertainment to keep everyone occupied both weekends. Plus, just when you thought it could not get any better, there are no entry or parking fees.

Attendees should dress warmly, as the event features rural country conditions and roads, with parking and festival grounds consisting of grass fields that can become muddy depending on the weather. Organizers recommend avoiding lowered or low-profile vehicles, and 4WD will be ideal for navigation.

The “farm kitchen” will be serving food every day of the festival from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, so be sure to come hungry! All proceeds from the farm kitchen will benefit the Grace Lutheran Church of New Albany, Indiana. In addition, the Sugarstore will be open during the same hours. The store features fresh maple syrup, cotton candy, cookies, baked goods, merchandise, and much more. Attendees are welcome to also try various wines, spirits, and other treats.

LM Sugarbush is expecting more than 40 vendors to set up at the festival, and tours will be given to demonstrate the maple syrup making process.

Fans of live music will be happy to know that there is a long lineup of musical talent that will be performing at the festival. Below is a full list of the music schedule:
