October is nationally recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to honor and remember the lives of babies gone too soon while supporting families experiencing unimaginable grief.
Locally, White Pumpkin Family, a group based in Southern Indiana, is continuing its mission of comfort and care by sponsoring two remembrance carts at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville. These carts are filled with literature, resources, and keepsakes carefully chosen to bring solace to families during their time of loss.
To keep the carts stocked and available for those in need, the organization has announced a special fall fundraiser. Community members are invited to purchase a "Cozy Basket" for $30, either for themselves or as a gift to a friend. White Pumpkin Family will ship the basket directly to the recipient on the purchaser’s behalf.
Each Cozy Basket includes a seasonal garland, a cloth pumpkin, a fall mug, a small bag of coffee or tea (you choose), fall coloring pages with pencils, a diffuser, a White Pumpkin Family magnet, and a personalized card.
“All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly toward replenishing the items in our remembrance carts,” said organizers. “Every basket purchased helps ensure another grieving family receives support when they need it most.”
Orders must be placed by October 5, 2025, with baskets shipped or delivered on or before October 10, 2025. White Pumpkin Family has set a goal of 50 baskets sold and is encouraging the community to help by purchasing or spreading the word.
