Upcoming Sectionals

All other spring sports will begin sectional action later this month.

With the calendar recently turning over to the month of May, all spring sports are starting to hit the final weeks of their regular seasons.

Tennis

Girls tennis will have their pairings on Monday, May 19 and play will begin on Tuesday, May 20. Salem and Eastern will both play in the Floyd Central Sectional again this year with Floyd Central being the returning sectional champion.

Track

As for track, the girls track sectional will take place on Tuesday, May 20 as Salem and West Washington will run at Seymour, while Eastern will travel to Floyd Central. The boys track teams will run on Thursday, May 22 with Salem and West Washington running at Bedford North Lawrence and Eastern will also run at Floyd Central.

Golf

Boy’s gold sectional will take place on Thursday, June 5 or Friday, June 6. Salem and West Washington golf teams will compete at the Bloomington North Sectional at the Cascades Golf Course, while Eastern will compete in the Providence Sectional played at the Covered Bridge Golf Club.
