The Washington County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Women in Business Luncheon on Monday, April 13, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Raquel’s Restaurant & Catering, located at 34 Public Square.
The event will include a panel discussion featuring local businesswomen from a range of industries and career stages. Panelists are scheduled to include Denise Bessler, owner of The Destination LLC and a former school superintendent; Raquel Romero, owner and chef of Raquel’s Restaurant & Catering; and Paige White, an attorney with Church, Langdon, Lopp & Banet Law.
According to event organizers, the discussion will focus on career development, workplace experiences, and perspectives on professional growth. The program is intended to provide an opportunity for attendees to hear from individuals at different points in their careers.
Chamber of Commerce Director Jacob Dufour will serve as emcee and moderator for the panel.
“The goal of this event is to provide a space for conversation and connection while highlighting a range of experiences from women in the local workforce,” Dufour said. “We want attendees to leave with useful insights and a better understanding of the different paths available within our business community.”
The luncheon will include a baked potato bar and is open to the public. While the program centers on women in business, organizers note that men and children are welcome to attend. Seating is limited.
First Harrison Bank is the presenting sponsor of the event. Venue sponsors include Centra Credit Union, Mosier Family Chiropractic, and Salem Title. Table sponsors are Marshall Monuments, Salem Rotary Club, Schneck Family Care, and the Washington County Community Foundation.
