"Back in Line" with Dr. Mosier: Building Cathedrals

Tossing Dog Poop into the Neighbor’s Yard

The other evening, my younger boys, Ethan and Evan, wanted to go with me while I took our Great Dane, Ryder, for a walk. Now, if I'm being honest, it's much easier to walk him by myself.

But if I tell them they can't come... well, let's just say toddlers have a special way of expressing their disappointment. I'm fairly certain the official definition of a toddler is "a tiny negotiator with unlimited energy."

So the three of us headed out together.

About halfway through the walk, Ryder decided it was time to leave behind a mountain-sized pile that required one of those little blue doggie bags. As I was cleaning it up, I set the bag down for just a moment.

Without me asking, little Evan—only 18 months old—picked it up and proudly carried it all the way home.

Now every time we walk Ryder, Evan wants to be the one who carries the bag.

Not because he enjoys carrying dog poop.

Because he wants to help.

He wants to contribute.

He wants to be part of something bigger.

That simple moment reminded me of a story I once heard.

A traveler came upon three stone masons working on the same project and asked each what they were doing.

The first replied, "I'm laying bricks."

The second said, "I'm building a wall."

The third smiled and answered, "I'm building a cathedral."

Three people doing the exact same work.

Three completely different perspectives.

Sometimes it's easy to look at chiropractic care the same way.

One visit can feel like "just another adjustment."

Another appointment on the calendar.

Another exercise to complete at home.

Another bottle of water to drink.

Another early bedtime.

Another healthy meal.

But what if it's much bigger than that?

What if every adjustment is another brick?

What if every healthy choice strengthens the foundation you're building?

At Mosier Family Chiropractic, we don't simply want to help you feel better for today.

We want to help you build a healthier future.

A future where you have the energy to play with your children and grandchildren.

A future where you're able to enjoy vacations instead of sitting on the sidelines because of pain.

A future where your body functions the way it was designed to function.

Health is rarely built in one big moment.

It's built through hundreds of small decisions made consistently over time.

Every adjustment.

Every stretch.

Every walk.

Every healthy meal.

Every good night's sleep.

Every positive choice is another brick.

And one day, you'll look back and realize you weren't just coming to chiropractic appointments.

You were building something far greater.

You were building a healthier life.

Here's to laying another brick this week.

Your friend,

Dr. Mosier
