The Fear of Making a Minor Issue a Major Issue

I just want you to know that Washington County nearly lost their chiropractor last week. Yes, I almost died.
Wednesday morning, I loaded up the truck with my coffee and my Spider-Man backpack ready to head to the office. When all of a sudden, I see a raging monster of a turtle behind the truck tire. This thing had claws, a bite that could crush a man’s skull, and probably had rabies.
I knew that this creature of death needed to be moved or the driveway would have a turtle stain on it. However, what kind of insane person would go and touch a monster like this. So, Shelby (the nanny) came out and tried to move this demon possessed animal. She was unsuccessful. All the while, the other creature of the Mosier household kept trying to touch it (Ethan is 2.5 years old and fears absolutely nothing). Now, I’m running late and still dealing with a monster size problem. When outcomes Isaiah, the 8 year old hero of this story. He walks up to this little turtle, picks him up without hesitation, and moves him out of the way like it was nothing.
Irrational fears often come out of nowhere. Last week was fair week and the office had a fair booth in the commercial building. I enjoy my time out there, I often see some old friends and meet some new ones. However, I’m always surprised by the irrational fears I hear in regard to chiropractic care. It never fails that the person who fears it the most, is the one who needs it the most.
Fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. What type of fears are you holding onto?
Example: I’ll never get that promotion, I’ll never lose the weight, get out of debt, get a bass boat … etc.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mosier
