Washington County Community Foundation to host free Annual Dinner at Cornerstone

The Washington County Community Foundation invites the community to an evening of music, memories, and celebration during its 2026 Annual Meeting on Thursday, July 16, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Cornerstone Chapel & Celebration Center in Salem. A short program will begin at 6:30 PM.

This year’s theme, “Your Life. Your Legacy. Your Greatest Hits.” celebrates the generosity of the people who continue to make a lasting difference throughout Washington County. Inspired by music and the songs that shape our lives, the evening will honor the stories, values, and legacies behind charitable giving.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy a full meal, fellowship, music themed fun, and a relaxed atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to dress casually and are even invited to wear their favorite band T shirt.

“This evening is really about celebrating the people behind the generosity,” said Judy Johnson, Executive Director of the Washington County Community Foundation. “Every scholarship awarded, every nonprofit supported, and every community project funded begins with someone who cares deeply about this community. We want to take time to celebrate those stories and the impact they continue to have.”

Since 1993 the Donors of the Washington County Community Foundation have awarded millions of dollars in grants and scholarships to improve life throughout the county. The annual meeting serves as both a celebration of the Donors’ generosity and a thank you to volunteers, nonprofits, and community partners.

The Foundation’s 2026 music inspired campaign theme reminds donors that their generosity creates a legacy that continues long after the moment of giving. Much like a favorite song, the impact of generosity can continue to inspire future generations.
