The Washington County Family YMCA has launched a community-wide challenge to raise the final funds needed for its transformative Beth Armstrong Y–For–All Capital Campaign. A generous donor has pledged to match every gift—dollar–for–dollar—up to $250,000, bringing the Y closer to its total campaign goal of $4.3 million.
This campaign honors the legacy of longtime Y leader Beth Armstrong and reflects the Y’s unwavering commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive space where all individuals and families can thrive. The funds raised will support a major expansion of the YMCA facility to meet increasing community demand for childcare, wellness, and gathering spaces.
Key features of the expansion include:
A new childcare facility to expand access to quality early learning and before/after-school care.
A full-size indoor recreation and community center that will serve as a year-round hub for youth sports, community events, and spaces for families to play and be active together.
Enhanced wellness and fitness areas to support healthy living for individuals of all ages and abilities.
Increased programming for youth, teens, seniors, and families—providing safe spaces to connect, grow, and belong.
“With this $250,000 matching gift challenge, every community donation goes twice as far,” said Kristy Purlee, Chief Executive Officer. “Together, we can build a Y that reflects the spirit and needs of Washington County—one that brings people together, supports families, and provides access for all.”
Donations made through https://wcfymcayforall.funraise.org will be matched dollar–for–dollar until the full $250,000 is unlocked.
