Anita Kay (Stephenson) Smith, 87, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, June 27, 2025 at her residence, the family farm. Kay Smith’s life was full of family, faith, food, and farming. Although she lived the majority of her years in one area, it was a beautiful life during which she strived to be open, learn new things, and love the people around her.

Mrs. Gloria Marie Fleenor, age 69, of Salem, passed away Friday, June 27 at her home.

Marvin Bennett Marshall, age 89, of Campbellsburg passed away, Thursday, June 26, 2025. Mr. Marshall was born August 24, 1935 in Campbellsburg, the son of Albert and Irma Bennett Marshall. He was a member of Westview Church where he served as an Elder for many years. Marvin retired after 38 years from Child Craft as a quality control supervisor.

Mildred Faye "Millie" Bobbitt, 92, formerly of Salem, passed away June 19, 2025 at La Bella of Clifton in Illinois. Born August 8, 1932 in Orange County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Harry Williams and Grace Brocar Williams.

Larry Vernon Collins, 72, passed away on June 20th in the loving arms of his wife at Norton Pavilion in Louisville. He was a retired truck driver for 50 years with 4 million safe miles. The last 36 years were with Hass Carriage in Sellersburg, Indiana.

Brian P. O'Meara, age 58 of Salem, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 in his home. Mr. O'Meara was born April 20, 1967 in Quincy Massachusetts the son of William F. O'Meara and Shirley Spargo O'Meara.

Johnnie Saylor, age 77 of Salem, Indiana passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 5:50 am, in his residence. Born December 18, 1947 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Lee Saylor and Nadine (Bowling) Saylor. He then joined the U.S. Army after High School. He attended New Salem First Church of God. He loved tinkering with his trucks in his spare time.

Hope Christina Newsome, age 49, of Salem, passed away Friday, June 19 at Baptist Health Floyd. Hope was born March 19, 1976 in Seymour, the daughter of Charlie Weddel and Doris Newby. She was a 1995 graduate of West Washington High School.

Timothy Christopher Catlett, 58, passed away after a brief battle with cancer at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was born on May 18, 1967 to Shannon Catlett and Judy Catlett Hall in New Albany. He attended West Washington School Corporation until middle school and was a 1985 graduate of Salem High School.

Keith Burger, age 71 of Paoli, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Paoli Health and Living. Mr. Burger was born April 24, 1954 in New York, the son of Allen Burger. He is survived by his son, Lester Burger, four brothers and three sisters.

Dannie Smith Jr., age 57 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his home. Mr. Smith was born August 22, 1967 in New Albany, Indiana the son of Dannie Smith Sr. and Sam and Betty Weisbach Jeffers. He is an Army and Air Force veteran, and served in Desert Storm.
